“If you’ve already got some baking, why are you mixing more batter?” James counted off the number of chocolate chip cookies in the oven. “There’s at least a dozen in here! You can’t possibly eat that many—”
“Keep that up and the next word out of your mouth will be the last thing you ever say. Got it?”

James pursed his lips, nodded, and shuffled back to his seat on the counter. Satisfied, Lily hoisted the bowl back to her side and went back to mixing.

“Now,” she started, “I was thinking of ‘Harry’ if it’s a boy.”
